Shawfield F.C.

Shawfield were a Scottish football team that competed in the Scottish Junior set-up and won the Scottish Junior Cup in 1946-47. There are also a number of references to them being called Shawfield Juniors.

Their home ground was Rosebery Park, located in the Polmadie area of Glasgow.

The club were founded in 1918 and disbanded in 1960.[1] They were a different club to Shawfield Amateurs F.C., who competed in the Scottish Cup in the 1950s.[2]

Notable players for the club included post-war Scottish internationals Bobby Dougan and Frank McLintock[3], as well as Tom Devlin, Billy Frame, Tom Gracie, Frank Marshall, Alex Massie and Joe Nibloe.
